Privacy Policy — Loved Ones

Effective Date: October 11, 2026

Loved Ones ("the App") is developed by Randall Montes ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.

By using Loved Ones, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

Information Collected with Your Permission

Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored only on your device and is never sent to our servers:

Information We Do NOT Collect

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers.

3. How We Store and Protect Your Information

Your account data, avatar settings, social connections, and uploaded photos are stored on servers operated by Supabase (see Section 4). Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).

Authentication tokens are stored locally on your device by the Supabase SDK and are used to maintain your login session.

Locally cached widget data (avatar images, party member info, debug logs) is stored in your device's App Group shared container and does not leave your device.

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. If you become aware of any security issue, please contact us immediately.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses one third-party service:

Supabase

Supabase provides our database, authentication, and file storage infrastructure. When you use Loved Ones, your data is processed and stored by Supabase on our behalf.

We do not use any other third-party data processors, analytics providers, or advertising services.

5. Contact Data and Friend Discovery

When you grant the App permission to access your device contacts:

  1. The App reads phone numbers only from your contact list.
  2. These numbers are sent to our server in batches (up to 100 at a time) to check for matching Loved Ones users.
  3. The contact numbers are used only for this real-time matching query and are not permanently stored on our servers.
  4. You are shown a list of contacts who already have a Loved Ones account, so you can send them a friend request.

If you do not grant contact access, you can still use the App — you simply will not see contact-based friend suggestions. You can revoke this permission at any time in your device's Settings app.

If you provide your own phone number, other users who have your number in their contacts may see you as a suggested friend.

6. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at lovedonescontact@gmail.com.

We will respond to all legitimate requests within 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing your request.

7. Children's Privacy

Loved Ones is not intended for children under 13. Users must confirm that they are at least 13 years old before creating a profile. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at lovedonescontact@gmail.com so we can take appropriate action.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this document. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by other reasonable means.

Your continued use of Loved Ones after any changes to this policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
